Here are the beginner’s guides to rock climbing areas that I have written so far. I highly recommend climbing at all of these places if you can.

Beginner’s Guide to Rock Climbing in Yosemite Valley - With El Capitan, Half Dome and plenty of other massive granite cliffs around, Yosemite is an inspiring place to hone your trad climbing skills. Just beware of the stiff difficulty ratings!

Beginner’s Guide to Sport Climbing Red Rocks, Nevada - Red Rocks has amazing single pitch sport climbing on juggy, gym-like sandstone. Its beautiful location and proximity to Las Vegas make it accessible and worthwhile.

Beginner’s Guide to Rock Climbing in Thailand - The Phra Nang Peninsula (with Railay Beach and Tonsai Beach) in Southern Thailand offers loads of memorable sport climbing on amazing limestone formations. Not to mention the fact that you are in Thailand and on the beach.

I’ll be adding more beginner’s guides as time and climbing schedule permits. Remember that climbing is dangerous, so stay safe!
